Nestled among ancient olive groves in Astros, Kynourias, this residence emerges from the landscape as a composed dialogue between three intersecting volumes.

The project's central idea — the deliberate intersection of three primary programmatic boxes (entrance / guest, living / kitchen, and private bedrooms) — reflects a broader architectural conviction: the more restrained the vocabulary, the more demanding the design challenge.
The three parallel volumes interlock seamlessly, while the multidirectional textures of the facade cladding — local stone, thermal render, and brushed aluminium — complete the architectural composition. Most striking is the 20-metre-long upper volume, which floats above the landscape and carves out a generous semi-outdoor space beneath it, blurring the boundary between shelter and terrain.
Η κεντρική ιδέα του έργου — ο συνδυασμός τριών λιτών παραλληλεπίπεδων που αντιστοιχούν στις τρεις κύριες λειτουργικές ζώνες (είσοδος / επισκέπτες, καθημερινή / κουζίνα, ιδιωτικός χώρος) — εκφράζει μια βαθύτερη αρχιτεκτονική στάση: όσο πιο μινιμαλιστική η γλώσσα, τόσο πιο απαιτητική η πρόκληση.
Οι τρεις παράλληλοι όγκοι αλληλοσυμπλέκονται, ενώ οι πολυκατευθυντικές υφές των υλικών επένδυσης — τοπική πέτρα, θερμοπρόσοψη και αλουμίνιο — ολοκληρώνουν τη σύνθεση. Εντυπωσιακό σημείο αναφοράς αποτελεί ο άνω όγκος μήκους 20 μέτρων, που επιπλέει πάνω από το τοπίο, δημιουργώντας κάτω από αυτόν έναν ευρύχωρο ημιυπαίθριο χώρο — ένα όριο ανάμεσα στο κτίριο και τη φύση που σκοπίμως παραμένει ρευστό.
The main entrance is placed at a strategic junction, allowing independent access to the basement, the ground-floor guest suite, and the first-floor private level — without exposing the heart of the house prematurely. The living room and kitchen occupy the full ground floor, anchored at its southern face by expansive glazing that extends the interior seamlessly into the garden. Here, a shaded outdoor dining area with BBQ and a 26 m² pool create a private outdoor living zone, cooled by the cantilevering volume above.
The first floor is entirely dedicated to the family's private realm: a master bedroom with en suite bathroom and walk-in closet, two children's bedrooms sharing a bathroom, and a corridor that opens onto a first-floor terrace.
Η κύρια είσοδος τοποθετήθηκε σε στρατηγικό σημείο, επιτρέποντας ανεξάρτητη πρόσβαση στο υπόγειο, στο δωμάτιο των επισκεπτών στο ισόγειο και στον ιδιωτικό χώρο του πρώτου ορόφου — χωρίς ο επισκέπτης να αποκτά άμεση οπτική επαφή με τον κυρίαρχο χώρο του σπιτιού. Το μεγάλο σαλόνι και η κουζίνα καταλαμβάνουν το σύνολο του ισογείου, με εντυπωσιακά ανοίγματα στη νότια πλευρά που επεκτείνουν το εσωτερικό αδιάλειπτα προς τον κήπο. Εκεί, μια υπαίθρια τραπεζαρία με BBQ και η πισίνα 26 τ.μ. ορίζουν μια ζώνη υπαίθριας ζωής, σκιαζόμενη από τον εξέχοντα όγκο του ορόφου.
Ο πρώτος όροφος είναι αποκλειστικά αφιερωμένος στον ιδιωτικό χώρο της οικογένειας: κυρίως υπνοδωμάτιο με en suite μπάνιο και walk-in closet, δύο παιδικά δωμάτια με κοινό μπάνιο και διάδρομος που οδηγεί στη βεράντα του ορόφου.
